Lots of great food, raffles, and a live ham radio broadcast to encourage responsible pet ownership.
This event is hosted by Tommy Tucker and dedicated to his son's rabbit ROSIE: THE FIRST RADIOACTIVE RABBIT
This first annual radioactive rabbit day is dedicated to the memory of Rosie, the original radioactive rabbit. Rosie, a male Dutch Dwarf bunny, who lived an extraordinary 14 years (from 1995 to 2009) enjoyed the sound of Morse code, radio static, and other sounds of an active ham radio operator. Whenever his human Ross Tucker, NS7F, would sit down at the radio, Rosie would race into the room, lie down under the table, and move his ears like traditional “rabbit ears” antennae. We would like to thank Rosie for his dedication to ham radio, and his example of the natural connection between ham radio and rabbits!
