Girl Scouts of all ages can earn badges while learning about bunnies.
Any of these activities can be done at the Sanctuary or at your meeting:
Daisies learn about bunny care and diet as they earn their Spring Green Petal.
Brownies earn their Animal Try-it by learning about caring for pets and bunny language.
Juniors, while earning their Pet Care Badge, learn about pets’ expenses, rescues all over the Valley, and different animals’ needs.
Cadettes and Seniors volunteer at Tranquility Trail and learn about the day-to-day care of bunnies while they earn their Pets IP.
Cost*:
The cost for a tour is $25, plus $1 or one roll of paper towels per participant.
The cost for a visit to your location is $45, plus $1 or one roll of paper towels per participant.
If your troop would like for the visit/tour to include earning a badge, please add the following cost per participant to the tour/visit fees given above:
Daisy Spring Green Petal - $1
Brownie Animal Try-it - $3.50
Junior Pet Care Badge – $3.50
Cadettes and Seniors Pets IP - $4
*Bunny-themed craft project can be added to any of the above options for $2.50 per girl.
Petals and badges are not included.
After a visit from Tranquility Trail volunteers and rabbits, one Daisy Girl Scout remarked, “That was the best meeting we have ever had.”
